Building an Exhibit

California-Style

A couple of weeks ago I wrote about visiting the about-to-be-opened California Academy of Sciences during a special preview day on September 7. It was a special visit set aside for people who have been working on the museum (contractors, etc.) and since I spent several months earlier this year writing a set of exhibits for the project about climate change, I got the invitation.

It was a great visit. Some exhibits were still being installed or finished off, but in the main, the museum looks great!

The company I worked with, Cinnabar California, has a blog up about their work at the Academy. It’s sort of a “work in progress” diary where you can follow along as the company talks about the exhibits and the installation process, which began this past summer.  It’s an interesting “behind the scenes” look at exhibit-making. Yesterday, they were kind enough to write a little entry about me and my work.  (Thanks guys!)
